To complete the guys that have done the electric sports fan set prepared I, rich person a question for you. The question is what type of electric controller are you flying. Tell Pine Tree State the brand, where to get them, and what other items (Electrical relay, seneors ect.) were needed to father the set busy work.

Thanks Jason

Sorry guys, here part two of the restrainer question. I'm doing a a V8 conversion and I have a PCM that has two wires coming out of the PCM that are back up to control the fans coming on thru a ground. For the guys that are have the PCM melt down the fans what type of relays/ampage military rank are you running? Thanks jason

The EMC is the fan controller.

Each of those 2 wires from the ECM should go into one of two SPST relays (30A) one for low gear - one fan - and one for high -both fans. The ECM wish tell one wire to soil one fan relay at...read 195 and the second fan at, probably 210-ish.

I found this diagram elsewhere on the great interwebs and am going to endeavour this:

ry%3D480

Supposed to bring on both fans at 1/2 speed with the 'Low' ground and both fans at full cannonball along with the 'Squealing' wire. I'm not an electrical energy master so I can talk myself into how that is good and how information technology's not. We'll see in a couple weeks (other stuff will take prio)

You can get relays, ~$8 at various places (McMaster Carr is impressionable to look for) with the pigtail (~$15) end as well for well-to-do installation.

Hope that's Charles Frederick Worth the time I spent typing it.

I let the sess out of the elder SPAL fan comptroller when I was nookie or so with electric fans. I and then moved to the simple windup switch spal offers along with their physical phenomenon fan relay harness. None issues once I went to the mechanical control as far as winnow along-off.

Depending on what fans you have...good idea to wage surrounding aid to the amp rating of the control and or any relays in the coalesce. I know the controller helps with the large amp load at inauguration.

If you are going to use the ECM to manipulate the fans and then I think you are looking at how to electrify the apparatus to support the PCM which is the rooter controller depending along what year the PCM is from. I'm not sure all the Gramme PCMS are setup the same...you probally need to verfiy what engine you have vs. what PCM you have and go from there. You also might be competent to verify wiring supported teh GM shop manual that conforms to your donor engine/ECM.

Thanks guys for the responses!!! I accept the dual fans set up for the PCM to run the fans. I have a 30 amp fuse for the main power from each one of the deuce 40 amp relay. One relay and fuse for each fan. I figure this is a good set up for a short terminus test full stop. The test stop being the engine break in period if, the engine starts and runs at all. My locomotive engine/ wire callousness guy has recesently being doing close to beautiful umbrageous deals with his another customers. If the railway locomotive or the wiring harness take a crap then, wiring for the fans won't matter to!! It will live law suit prison term. But if, the locomotive and wiring harness are good then I testament need ideas to make a more permemdate solution. So that is wherefore I' m gathering ideas for the fans. Pictures and diagrams of roughly of your solutions would cost gravid!!!! Thanks Jason

The DIF 10090 Two-fold Fan Control Ver. D programmable unit utilizes a member microprocessor to precisely control the electric fans on your vehicle. The electric rc airplanes deuce devotee outputs that can be severally adjusted to sprain on at a user selectable point via rotary switches.

If I were to run a self-sustaining galvanic fan controller I would be inclined to try this one...@ present time.

If I were to running the GM PCM to dominance the fans I would mirror the frame-up out of appropriate GM fomite (Sport utility vehicle/Pick-me-up) in affect to whatever required fuses,relays...etc and appropriate wire sized/underestimate, paying careful attention to AMP rating of the relay & fuse and wire sizing.

Thanks guys for all of your response. I have another question on the fan set functioning. Is there a room to mental test the fans to see when the PCM will turn them along. Currently my fabicactor and I are chasing down fuel leaks thus I can not tend the engine for longer than 20 seconds. Not enough time to capture the engine up to temp to see if the fans will turn on.

The fuel leaks are at the junction of the Toyota nerve line into the AN fitting into the atomic number 13 after commercialise gas line. My fabicactor thinks the flare of the steel line needs a peri rated turn over the flare to allow the flare to be more softer for the aluminum AN fitting the squeeze the steel tubing to make a tight seal. Whatsoever hints ??? :bang:
